My sweet boy is officially up to 20 pills one day and 21 pills the next. I hate this for him. Several of the pills are matching types - just different strengths - but still... I hate it. I am very thankful that he is an AWESOME pill taker, though! I used to see a friend of mines son take pills so easily and I always wished that Phillip would be so easy... and now he is and I am grateful! He used to run and spit and at one point we basically had to sit on him and force him to take them! It was awful!
A while back I bought 2 one month pill containers and swapped out the AM and PM's so that one whole month of one is AM's and one whole month of the other is PM. That way when I get his refills I just have to take about 10-15 minutes and put them ALL in the containers instead of trying to do a week of AM and a week of PM's over and over all month. It has simplified my life quite a bit. LOL (putting the pills in the containers is what led me to think so much about how many pills he was taking each day.. It really wasn't just some random thought LOL...)
At any rate - I also wanted to let you guys know that Phillip is taking his EOG's this week (his class is doing them super early this year) and to ask you to pray for him to do well. I don't so much care about his actual scores - as much as I care that he does well TAKING the tests. His teacher is AWESOME and we have been SO blessed to have her the last 2 1/2 years - BUT anyone that knows Phillip - knows that trying to get him to do something he really doesn't want to do, is NO easy task. SO - I ask you to pray that he will TAKE the tests well.
In other news: I am going to start taking him to the Middle School this week to visit and see the new surroundings and stuff. I have found that working Phillip into things (instead of just throwing him into something new) is much easier on him. So we will start this week by meeting the teacher and being in the school when the classes change. And we will continue to visit through out the rest of the school year so that he can experience the middle school some before he has to start going there every day.
Also, Phillip got a new nurse (he hasn't had one since January) and we are thankful! Phillip loves her - of course, he loves most everyone. But she has been a good mix with our family so far and we are thankful for her. We hope she stays on for a while.
Well, I believe that is all for now. Nothing much going on right now - Thanking God for that every day! Thanks for reading and for your thoughts and prayers. Feel free to leave us a comment since we don't have a guest book here!
Thanks and God Bless! ~misty~
OH YEAH!! I ALMOST FORGOT!!! Phillip went to Special Olympics Track and Field last week and did the 25M run and the 50M run- and he got 3rd place and 4th place (respectively)!! He did AWESOME!! He actually ran the WHOLE 25M and about 1/2 of the 50M. He gets tired easily and his left leg drags a bit more when he runs than when he walks - and he still did AWESOME!! We are all so proud of him!!! Ok, thats all! thanks for reading!
