Hi!! Sorry its been a while....
I heard back from the Dr's office last week but its been a little crazy around here...
His MRI has not changed- which is great! That means, no calcifications or anything in his brain!
As far as his EEG- I only got a preliminary report and (as I suspected) they didn't see any seizure activity during the times the button was pushed. (we pushed the button any time we saw anything that we thought might be seizure activity).
When I heard back from them they had not read thru the entire EEG but I suspect it will all be the same "no seizure activity".
I am not necessarily upset about that - obviously I.don't want him to be having seizures- but unfortunately this doesn't rule OUT seizures- It just shows he isn't having them in the specific spots they are monitoring..
So its back to the drawing board.
Oh! His hearing test was no better and no worse. They made him a new ear mold. I am hoping this will remedy the issue of him not wanting to wear his hearing aid... We shall see.
I am forgetting something... think, think, think... oh yes! His photic test results were not back yet, either.
We have an appt later this month and I am sure everything will be in by then and I will let you know.On a good note: we found out that his new Augmentative Communication device was approved and that we should get it in the next week! Very excited about that!! I cannot wait to "play" with this new device and get it set up for him! Please pray with us that this new device will open many communication 'doors' for him!
We are gearing up now for an early 13th birthday party for our sweet boy! All of my family lives in a place where snow fall is a pretty sure thing in January -- so this year we are jumping the gun and celebrating BEFORe the bad weather!! We are having a Firefighter theme and I can't WAIT to see it all come together!! I have a million things to do, still. Hopefully I get them all done!
I beleieve that's all for now. Things are so busy and crazy that some days I feel like I should blog every day so I don't get behind... maybe after the party I will try it. Seems like everyday he is doing or saying something that I would like to share!
Hope you all have a great day. Thanks for reading and God Bless you!!
