The medication we started a month or so ago for help with sleeping and OCD tendancies is not helping with sleep at this point so I called the doctor and they gave us a prescription for a new medicine. we started it tonight in hopes that he will get a good nights sleep for school tomorrow.
I am praying it helps and he sleeps. sleep deprivation is one of the things that causes him to have seizures- so him not sleeping is very stressful on us all. Now, "in other news" this is a sad week for us because Phillips speech therapist is leaving her position and we will not get to see her every week anymore. We have both grown to care for her very much- as a therapist and as a person. She is a fantastic woman and I am not sure anyone will ever fill her shoes. She will be sorely missed. But we wish her the very best as she goes into her new job/part of her life. She is a wonderful, kind, caring person. **Thank you Mrs Becca for all you have done for Phillip in the last 2 years!!!**This is a sad time for me as well- because Phillip is finishing his last days of Elementary school. it breaks my heart to leave his teachers that we have grown to love, his friends that we have been with for years, and leaving the routine that he has blossomed with. Its just sad. And I am not happy about it. Please pray for us as we go thru these numerous transitions - losing our speech therapist AND routine with speech, getting out of school for the summer, me working steady times... so many changes right now for one little boy to handle. (and one Mommy, too) So please pray that he deals with these changes well- with NO seizures!!!
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for sending up a little prayer, for everything.
