There has been so much going on since my last post that I can barely keep up. Whew!
Phillips rash went away with the reduction of the lamictal. His Dr was awesome during the whole event and checked on Phillip every day until the rash was cleared up! I am so thankful for him. Thankful that I decided to try and work with him instead of changing to a different doctor, too.
After the rash, he had flu shot and ran a fever for a couple of days and I am pretty sure he had a mild seizure while he was sleeping at school because his teacher said when he woke up he couldn't even walk upright. She had to hold him up and help him to a chair.... He was home 2 half days last week and all day Friday. Now he only has 2 days this week... (I wonder if Ms Erin would let me drop him off with her a couple days this week....hhhmmmm.. ;) )
He has slept all night a couple of nights lately - I however, have gotten so used to getting up and down all night that I automatically wake up periodically. When he's not up I totally panic and race to his room to check on him. I'm not crazy about this "sleeping in his own room" stuff but I'm trying because I know we all need it.
So the fever is gone, the rash is gone, and so far the seizures are at bay... we are truely blessed.
Phillip is already looking forward to Christmas - he has completed his wish list on Amazon.com and is wearing his Santa hat and shirt whenever I will let him. Soon it will be time to put new batteries in his mini-christmas tree lights (he keeps the tree all year but not lit up). He also just bought his first Christmas video of the year.... What can I say? The boy loves Christmas!
We have a TON of stuff coming up - an appt with his neurologist next week, a teeth cleaning next week with a new dentist (NOT looking forward to that), then the first week of December we have an ambulatory EEG for 5 days (which involves 3 trips to Duke and home) and then a sleep study because he is snoring and twitching in his sleep (and waking up at 330, too). I imagine we'll have blood work ordered, as well. Soo busy busy weeks ahead.
Please keep Phillip in your prayers for the weeks ahead - for good test results and no seizures. The Holiday season is so full of changes in schedules, school days (with parties, etc), visitors and such that it can be very stressful for Phillip.
Thank you & God Bless!
